Bywell is owned and staffed by shooters who care, we pride ourselves on the knowledge and friendly service we can give you, below are the staff that will help you on your next visit :
Allan Henry / Shooting Ground proprietor.
Allan has been a member of the England shooting team for many years, recently this year Allan travelled to Australia to compete in the World DTL Championship. Where Allan and his Squad won Silver medal for England, from a hundreds of competitors Allan also managed to be placed Seventeen in the world, which was made even more exceptional considering he had been taken to hospital with food poisoning two days early.
Richard Henry / Shooting Ground proprietor.
Richard, Allan’s twin brother has also had many year of shooting experience both game and clay pigeon. Richard is a qualified Safety Officer and First aider
Susan Henry / Shooting Ground proprietor.
Susan is Allan’s wife. Susan runs the clothing department within the gun shop. She is also a budding shooter herself. Susan is a qualified First aider.
Anne Henry
Anne is Allan’s daughter. Anne works in the office and deals with all the shooting ground enquires. Anne is a qualified Safety office and First Aider
John Henry
John has many years experience in both game and competitive clay shooting. Through the winter months John mostly enjoys game shooting, then when the game season finishes he starts to shoot clays through the rest of year.
Jeff McGough
Jeff has many years experience shooting clays both competitively and for fun. Jeff organises all the practice on the ground and helps to set up all the traps. He is also responsible for the maintenance of all the traps and the general up keep of the ground.
Mark Ewart
Mark has had twenty-five years of shooting experience. He holds the position of clay shooting officer with Northumbria Army Cadet Force. This involves overseeing all clay shooting activities and coaching during the year for up to 800 cadets (13 – 18 year old). This culminates in the selection and moves into intensive coaching for a county clay team for National events. Mark also manages to enjoy 8-10 days shooting, during the game season. Attending on other days to assist with coaching in the shooting field where is needed.
